SYB's 50th Anniversary Reunion Concert in William Land Park.
We need your help in finding out about you and locating other SYB Alumni.  Our purpose in gathering Alumni information is to reconnect to the people who WERE the Sacramento Youth Band, to form an information network, and to build a base of "Band Supporters" to help SYB continue into and through the next 50 years of presenting music to the public, but mostly to offer a fun and educational musical experience to young musicians in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area.

To register as an SYB Alumni, just click the Add Your Profile box below and complete the attached form. Only the boxes with an asterisk are required, but feel free to add your personal thoughts as well.

Tuesday Watkins
High-school student About '04 - '07. Clarinet I learned to play the alto saxophone and the drums. I'm currently learning acoustic guitar. I've tried out drumset, but it'll be a ways before I can comfortably say I can play that.
When I was in the SYB, I was in 4th-6th grade and played clarinet in the concert band. When I started middle school, I had to quit and I didn't take band as my elective. I quickly forgot how to play the clarinet, but joined my high school's marching band the summer before my freshman year, this time playing the alto saxophone. I'm in the clas of 2013, and I currently play drums for our marching band. As of fall season of 2011, I will be on snare drum. Send Tuesday a MessageSend Tuesday a Message
Leonard Voet
Manager Married 3 1971 - 1977 Trumpet Bass Drum Not much. I marched 78/79 with the Freelancers and was in every band in high school. After school, I started working and a family. I just recently joined the Freelancers Alumni Corps because I missed playing and my son and one of my daughters are musicians.
I remember hanging out at Russ' ranch near Rancho Seco with Leo Linkogle and Robert DuGaue - my best friends and my cousins, Kenny, Steven and David Nieto during the summers and RUss letting us drive his old Ford van thru the fields.

I also remember band camp at Gold Rush Park and really enjoyed the 4th of July parades in Placerville.
