Welcome to the Sacramento Youth (SYB) page and our music community.
Our community-based nonprofit organization has been welcoming young musicians to rehearse and perform in our bands since 1957. Today, providing area youth with an opportunity to play in our Symphonic Band, Jazz Big Band and Jazz Combo, with future plans to re-start our Concert Band for middle school students.
We welcome those interested in joining our ensembles to sit in for up to two rehearsals before becoming a member. Visit our Join SYB and About pages for more details.
Founded by Russ Kline of Kline Music, SYB has been educating and inspiring young musicians in the Sacramento area for more than 60 years. Read more about hour history here.
The Sacramento Youth Band had the honor of participating in
Broadway Sacramento's Summer 2023 production of The Music Man at Music Circus in
downtown Sacramento.
